While many investors in 2020 are looking for deals and lowered price listings, Hawaii real estate is still quite stable in 2020. True, some listings were lowering their prices from the normal market value, however some investors were missing out because they were expecting even lower entry price point so they failed to act when the time is right.
If we look at the median home prices of single family home and condo on Oahu we can see actually the fluctuation is not that great. Please see the chart below.
The green line is the median sale price for single family homes from Nov 2019 to Oct 2020. The yellow line is the median sale price for condo unit for the same length of time.
One can tell that the fluctuation of the median price is quite minimal this reflects on the stability of the Hawaii real estate market.
